TUESDAY, 27 OCTOBER
| Dear friend, |
I told myself at nine this morning that I could answer three dreams in one letter, which was a commitment I made before I had read the third one.
The first came from Priya, whose phone keeps cracking in her sleep. She taps the numbers, they rearrange, and the call never connects. Four times this month, she says.
A phone in a dream is almost never about the phone, because the phone is just the thing standing between you and whoever you need to reach. When it cracks, the question skips past the screen and goes straight to who you have been trying to talk to, and what keeps going wrong between the first word and the last. Priya, the phone is standing in for something else: a conversation you keep rehearsing in your head and never starting out loud.

Tom’s extra rooms
Tom, who asked me not to use his last name, grew up in a house outside Sheffield. He still dreams about it, except now there is a hallway he swears was never there, and behind it, rooms full of furniture he does not recognize. The strangest part, he says, is how unsurprised he is every time.
The house-is-you reading goes back about a century: the rooms you walk through every day are the parts of yourself you know, and the ones behind the new door are the ones you have not looked at yet. This is folklore, not science, so whether it is true is your call. But the rooms are full, Tom, not empty. Whatever is in there has been collecting while you were busy in the kitchen.

LOA Gurus Have Nothing On This
There’s a woman who infiltrated an Ancient Egyptian Secret Society…
I was just on the phone with her before sitting down to this email.
She was still shaken up from the experience.
But here’s the really crazy thing…
She says she’s never seen anything like this…
Even the Law of Attraction has nothing on it.
And it all comes from her catching this frequency on her cellphone when she infiltrated this trillionaire cult…
I was a little shaken myself the first time I listened to it.
I come across new opportunities all the time.
And every day, they just fall into my lap.
If you want to build a following on social media (or in the real world)...

K’s bench
K did not leave a name, just the initial and a dream about a friend from school they have not spoken to in six years. In the dream they sat on a bench together and said nothing, and K says the silence was the part that stayed.
When somebody from your past turns up in a dream, the temptation is to think the dream is about them, but it almost never is. The person on that bench is a stand-in for whoever you were at the age you knew them, which means K is sitting across from a version of themselves from six years ago, and the silence just means there is nothing left to argue about between the two.
Six years is long enough for the person you were at the start to become somebody you do not quite recognize, and sometimes the sleeping mind will sit you down next to that somebody, not to start a conversation, just to see whether you flinch.
All three of these, the cracked phone, the hidden rooms, the bench where nobody spoke, are dreams about the space between knowing what you want to say and saying it, which is probably why they ended up in my inbox the same week.

✦ WRITE BACK
Which of the three was yours? Not which dream you have had, but which answer stopped you for a second.
TELL ME WHICH ONE
That is the one worth sitting with tonight.
| Sleep well, |
| Dream Signs |
P.S. My neighbor told me this morning she dreamed her phone rang and when she picked up it was her own voice on the other end, asking whether she was free for lunch. She laughed about it and went back to her coffee. Tell me who was on the line in yours. I am still thinking about hers.

✦ TONIGHT’S PRACTICE
| 📝 |
The first sentence
Before you sleep, think of whichever dream stayed with you today. When you wake, write one sentence about it: what you saw, before you start to explain it.
Tell me what you wrote
✦ MANIFESTATION TIP
| 🌱 |
The sentence under the dream
One of those three dreams was circling something you have not said yet. Say it today, to one person, in one sentence. The thing under the dream, not the dream itself.
What came back
| ✦ |
Dream it. Sign it. Live it.
