✦ TODAY IN DREAM SIGNS

What It Asks You to Put Down
You wrote back about the bag, not the water.
I HAD THIS ONE TOO
THURSDAY, 5 NOVEMBER
| Dear friend, |
I carried a suitcase to a wedding because I did not trust the hotel. No locks on the room doors, which sounds charming until your passport is in the front pocket, so I wheeled it across the car park and sat it under the table during the speeches.
Nobody mentioned it, which was worse. That suitcase came back to me after Monday’s drowning dream, because the bag in the stairwell was the same problem: choosing the weight over the worry of setting it down.
Your replies were about the bag
Monday’s dream was water in a stairwell. Everyone wrote back about the bag: what was in it, why she would not drop it. The water got the subject line, but your replies pointed somewhere else, which tells you where the dream actually lives.
That is what the water spoke does on Thursday. It stops asking what is rising and starts asking what you are holding. The flood, the pool, the rain: they are the urgency. The emergency is not the water. The emergency is that your hands are full and the stairs keep going.
I do not know what your version of the suitcase is. A job, a promise, an old argument: the water dream is rarely about one object. It is about the habit of not putting things down.

The emergency is not the water. The emergency is that your hands are full and the stairs keep going.

What Would You Do With 84 Extra Minutes of Sleep?
Imagine waking up refreshed, without hitting snooze or reaching for another coffee.
In a small Louisiana State University study, adults struggling with insomnia drank tart cherry juice twice a day for two weeks.
That number isn't random.
Researchers worked with adults over 50 who had been struggling with insomnia. For two weeks, half of them drank tart cherry juice in the morning and again before bed. The other half got a look-alike drink with no cherry in it.
While more research is needed, tart cherries naturally contain melatonin, which helps regulate sleep.

What it asks you to put down
The dream is not telling you to drop everything. Dreams are not that tidy, and I am not sure I would trust the advice if they were. What the water dream does, when it returns, is point at your grip and say: look at this.
Not “let go.” Just: look at what you are holding. Most of the time you have held it so long you forgot you picked it up, which is how a passport ends up under a table at a wedding. Nobody carries that bag because they want to. They carry it because putting it down means trusting something they have not tested.
So tonight’s question is smaller: what am I carrying, and when did I pick it up?
If one of those six was hard to sit with, that is usually the one the dream was asking.
✦ CARRY THESE WITH YOU TODAY
| I am allowed to set this down. |
| Holding on was never the same as being strong. |
| Not everything I carry was mine to begin with. |
| My hands do not need to be full to matter. |
| The answer is still there with nothing in my arms. |
| Tap the one you need |
I still think about that suitcase. The passport was fine. I just could not enjoy the speeches because I kept checking under the table, which is, now that I say it, a short version of every water dream I have had.

| Sleep well, |

P.S. My mother walked into the sea on holiday still holding her handbag. My father watched for a while, then said, “You’ve got your bag.” Tell me what you forgot you were carrying. She laughed so hard she nearly dropped it.

✦ TONIGHT’S PRACTICE
| ☾ |
Hands flat on the mattress
Before you close your eyes, put both hands flat on the bed. Notice they are empty. Say one word, just in your head, for the thing you were carrying today. Then leave your hands where they are.
Tell me what the word was

✦ MANIFESTATION TIP
| ✨ |
Leave one small thing undone
Pick one task you would normally finish tonight and leave it. Not the important one. The small habitual one. See what it costs you in the morning. Usually nothing.
Tell me what you left

Dream it. Sign it. Live it.
