What the running is for
There is a serious theory that the chase dream is a drill, your brain rehearsing an escape it expects to need one day, which would explain why the thing behind you so rarely has a face.
I am not sure I believe it, since my week holds very little worth fleeing, though when people have gone looking the results have come back mixed both ways.
What I trust more is the direction, because whatever was back there, I had already decided not to look at it, and I make that same decision awake.
None of them needs a good answer this morning, since the point is only to notice which one you would rather skip.

Turning round
Turning round inside the dream is possible, though it takes practice, and the way in is to notice you are running while you are still asleep.
Most people manage it by accident first, waking half way and going back in with the feeling still on them, so tonight is as good a night as any to try.
If you do turn, you will probably find nothing there, which sounds like a letdown until it happens to you.

✦ CARRY THESE WITH YOU TODAY
| I am allowed to slow down |
| I can turn round and look |
| I can make the call today |
| I do not have to run all day |
| Tap the one you need |
✦ WRITE BACK
One of those questions will have been harder than the rest, and I would like to know which.
TELL ME WHICH ONE
I am making my call before lunch, mostly so that whatever is in the car park tonight has to find something else to be.
| Sleep well, |

P.S. My sister rang me first, in the end, and said before I could speak that she had dreamt I was ignoring her, which I was. Tell me who else was in the room. Then she went back to her toast.
